Environmental management
COS is aware of the environmental impact of its activities, as well as the sustainability and environmental protection challenges that all organizations must support.
Therefore, we have made a firm commitment to reducing our environmental impact throughout the life cycle of the services we provide and have established and implemented an environmental management system based on the requirements of ISO 14001 and EU Regulation 1221/2009 on Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) and its subsequent amendments.
COS’s environmental policy reflects this commitment and establishes a framework for setting environmental objectives and continuously improving our environmental management system.

Carbon footprint and GHG emissions
Calculating an organization’s carbon footprint allows it to identify and quantify its main sources of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, providing the information needed to develop action plans aimed at reducing them.
At COS, we have voluntarily calculated our carbon footprint for scopes 1 and 2 since 2018.

Understanding an organization’s carbon footprint allows it to take action to reduce it by establishing specific objectives and improvement or reduction plans. COS’s main lines of action for improvement are:
• Reducing energy consumption by implementing physical measures that allow for more efficient energy use.
• Promoting the use of energy from sustainable sources, generated in our self-consumption facility or purchased from our energy provider.
• Gradually renewing the vehicle fleet with more sustainable vehicles.
• Reducing travel by enhancing remote service resolution and support.

Evergreen IT
Since our inception, COS Global Services has been committed to an Infrastructure Support Services model, focusing on HW Systems Maintenance, based on a Circular Economy strategy. This model is driven by the extended lifecycle of IT assets proposed by Manufacturers: End-of-Services (EoS) and End-of-Life (EoL).
This model, combined with our long-standing HW equipment brokerage model and asset reuse practices, has positioned us as a company ahead of its time. Our clients and their needs take precedence over the continuous asset consumption that Manufacturers (OEMs) routinely promote.
COS is part of what is now known as a TPM (Third-Party Maintenance) provider—an alternative Support Services provider independent of the Manufacturer. We continue to innovate and help transform business models.
Our mission is to improve processes, optimizing our services to continue contributing to the progress of the “Green Economy” in our society, extending the useful life cycle of information systems, respecting our planet and, at the same time, improving the way we operate businesses to offer the best solutions to citizens and customers worldwide.

We want to be the company where top professionals want to work for many years. Therefore, one of our priorities is to promote and improve initiatives aimed at enhancing the development and well-being of our employees.
We have an Occupational Health and Safety Management System certified according to ISO 45001 and our own Prevention Service, both of which ensure the health and well-being of all our employees. We develop adapted protocols for people with special needs and align our activities with Zero Accidents policies.
Furthermore, we are firmly committed to equality and therefore promote internal policies and campaigns focused on fostering equality and non-discrimination for all employees. Our Equality Plan, Code of Conduct and Business Ethics, Equality in Recruitment Policy, Right to Disconnect from Work Policy, Policy Against Child Employment, and Protocols Against Harassment and Discrimination are evidence of this commitment.

From our inception, we have been committed to an Infrastructure Support Services model based on a Circular Economy strategy, driven by the extension of the useful lifecycle of our clients’ IT assets.
We are aware of our commitment to society for environmental protection and our contribution to the sustainability of the sector. Our mission is to improve processes, optimizing our Services to continue contributing to the progress of the Green Economy in our society, extending the useful lifecycle of information systems, respecting our planet, and simultaneously improving how we operate businesses to offer the best solutions to our clients.
In this vein, our commitment to the environment has been constantly and continuously developed through the definition of a set of programs and actions. All of this is structured around an Environmental Policy and Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 and EMAS.
Similarly, we consider climate change to be a global phenomenon that jeopardizes sustainable development and is currently the greatest environmental threat facing humanity. Combating it requires immediate collective action. COS is an organization aware of this situation and has therefore been calculating and recording the carbon footprint of its activities for years. Understanding our carbon footprint allows us to take actions aimed at establishing specific objectives and improvement or reduction plans, which are then implemented with the ultimate goal of achieving a reduction in our carbon footprint.
The environmental variable is incorporated into all stages of our activity, guaranteeing the highest levels of environmental quality, economic progress, and conservation of natural resources.

Since its inception, COS has adopted Business Models based on the Circular Economy (EverGreen IT), seeking to provide services to its clients that promote the extension of the lifecycle of their IT assets, making them more efficient and sustainable, always keeping continuous improvement as its objective.
This vision, together with our hardware equipment sales and asset reuse solutions, has made us the leading European company in the Circular Economy IT sector, providing support services for multi-vendor and multi-platform infrastructures using a TPM (third-party maintenance) model.
We work to help our clients digitize their businesses by creating solutions and services of value to society.
